Thank you for your interest in our upcoming debriefing training! This six-day intensive is designed to equip you in providing effective debriefing care and will take place at Alila 2 in Malaysia, January 18-23, 2026, grounded in the trusted Le Rucher model.

Meet Your Trainers

This training will be led by Melanie Stydom and Susan Wright, two certified Le Rucher trainers with extensive experience in the Exchange at the Cross™ model.

Melanie is a former long-term staff member of Le Rucher and is now an Associate Staff Member. She is fully qualified to debrief singles, couples, families or teams in either Afrikaans or English. Susan has served cross-culturally with a heart for Asia and those who serve overseas in the region.

About the Le Rucher Model

The Le Rucher "Exchange at the Cross™" model is a Christian, Biblically-based approach that follows Jesus' encounter with the disciples on the road to Emmaus. Unlike traditional debriefing methods, this specific model takes a comprehensive five-day approach rather than single sessions, creating sacred space for people to process their cross-cultural journey with God, experiencing healing and transformation that strengthens their faith and calling.

Prerequisites - Important!

You must have experienced a Le Rucher debrief for yourself before attending this training. Those who have been debriefed well before taking the training are much more prepared and confident to understand the principles of the "why" as well as the tools of "how" to debrief in this way.

Path to Certification

This training is by invitation only, and you have been selected because of your commitment to care and your potential to make a meaningful impact in debriefing ministry.

This basic training is the first step in becoming a certified Le Rucher debriefer. If you are interested in certification and follow-up coaching after completing this training, please indicate that on your registration form.

Training Details

Schedule:

  • Sunday, January 18th: Afternoon session starting around 3pm, followed by dinner together

  • Monday-Thursday: Full training days (approximately 9am-5pm daily)

  • Friday, January 23rd: Half-day session ending with lunch

Location: Alila 2, Malaysia (more specific details will be provided closer to the training date)

What's Included: Full cost of training and daily lunch and refreshments

What's NOT Included: Accommodation and other meals. If you need help arranging accommodation, please let us know and we can assist you.

Cost: $1,100 USD
