About Us
Our Mission
Nestled in Southeast Asia, we are committed to delivering exceptional member care and support to global workers and their families throughout Asia and its neighboring regions. Our purpose is to cultivate a nurturing community and provide comprehensive services, encompassing emotional and spiritual support, coaching, debriefings, retreats, access to educational resources, and advocacy for member care. Through strategic collaboration with sending agencies and member care organizations, Compass Asia strives to empower cross-cultural global leaders while fostering a supportive community, ensuring they receive the utmost care and support they need as they fulfill their critical roles in Asia and beyond.
Our Story
In 2024, Compass Asia was launched with the vision that Rachel had after serving in the field full-time for 25 years. She recognized the lack of direct support for global workers in the field and aimed to provide comprehensive member care services directly to global workers operating in Asia and its neighboring regions. Led by a passionate Board of Directors and dedicated volunteers and staff, Compass Asia offers a wide range of services tailored to the unique needs of cross-cultural ministry families. These services include coaching, mentoring, spiritual direction, retreats, and support programs.
The primary goal of Compass Asia is to ensure that families are supported on the field to receive the care and resources needed to thrive in their crucial work so they don't have to return prematurely.

Our Statement of Faith
We believe in one eternal creator God, revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We affirm that Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), and that "salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
The Bible, being God-breathed, serves as our ultimate authority for faith and practice, guiding us in truth, morality, and proper conduct (2 Timothy 3:16).
We acknowledge our sinful nature, as "if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8). Yet, we rejoice in the assurance that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We believe in the redeeming power of Christ Jesus, who came into the world to save sinners, demonstrating God's patience and desire for all to come to repentance (1 Timothy 1:15; 2 Peter 3:9).
We affirm that all individuals, believers, and non-believers alike, are created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27). This truth highlights the inherent dignity and worth of every person, inspiring us to honor and respect one another as fellow image bearers of our Creator (James 3:9).
As believers in Christ, we are temples of the Holy Spirit, indwelt and empowered by His presence (1 Corinthians 6:19). Through His grace, we are sanctified and transformed daily into the likeness of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18), reflecting His character and embodying His love in our lives (Ephesians 4:24). This ongoing process of sanctification shapes our thoughts, words, and actions, conforming us more closely to the image of our Savior (Romans 8:29).
We believe in the healing power of God, both physical and spiritual, recognizing that God is the ultimate healer and restorer. We affirm the importance of faith in prayer for healing, trusting in God's sovereignty and perfect will (James 5:15; Mark 11:24).
We actively pursue the unity of all believers, transcending denominational, economic, and ethnic diversities, recognizing that we have "different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit" (1 Corinthians 12:4).
We eagerly await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body, and we anticipate the eternal fellowship with Him (Philippians 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:17).
Until then, we are called to live holy and Godly lives, eagerly anticipating the day of God and striving to reflect His character in all aspects of our lives (2 Peter 3:11-12).
This Statement of Faith reflects our foundational beliefs, acknowledging the triune God, the saving grace of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, our unity as members of the body of Christ, and the transformative power of sanctification and healing.
